Solid Mount Kit – Front Subframe, Tower

In 1976, the front subframe mounting design was changed. Where earlier cars had it bolted directly to the body, cars after this date had rubber mounts introduced in an attempt to reduce noise transmission. The down side of this was the legendary Mini handling suffered. The rubber mounts tend not to survive too well either! These solid mounts replace the rubber ones getting rid of the compliance which led to poorer handling.

It is recommended to fit these in combination with the floor and front mounts.
